A walk without a destination

Start with a comfortable pair of shoes and a little time you do not have to account for. You do not need a distance target or a new place to visit.

At the first corner, choose the street that interests you. Notice a doorway, the shape of a tree, or the changing light on a wall. Let the pace of your walk follow what you see.

Keep your phone in a pocket for part of the walk. If a thought keeps returning, let it return. There is no requirement to solve it before you get home.

An ordinary route is worth revisiting. Weather, seasons, and your own attention make it different each time.
